Another delight from Swich, my new favorite dessert spot.
Honestly, the profiterole was not my favorite, despite it having coffee ice cream sandwiched in between with almond slices as garnishment.
I really love pastries. Good pastries. Hot, fresh out of the oven pastries.
Luckily, that banana cream pie I was drooling about earlier was clear and certain redemption.
The pie, a perfect cube, is carefully constructed with large chucks of banana & its cream. A light, mild whipped cream is artfully topped with tiny chocolate shavings.
I always thought Nation’s banana cream pie was my favorite. And it always will be.
But new, modern revisions of the classic pie do give dreamers something to lust for.
