Gratitude

“You’re trying to dissolve the crouton in your mouth.”

Fresh off the Boat. A good show. High quality stereotyping so extreme it’s comical. Strangely honest.

Laggies. Decent movie. Parallels the floating time inevitably experienced before the laggie finds her way.

Pork belly quesadilla. I love pork belly. The cheese and pork meld perfectly to form a little crust on the tortilla.

Honorable mentions: ramen with rock cod too quickly devoured to be pictured. Kona coffee mochi to ward off the Bubbies withdrawal.

Thoughts about elementary school lunch — Thanks mom for buying Lunchables for me especially for field trips when I was embarrassed to bring your delicious, homemade fried rice. I was a stupid kid and you were so cool about it. Come to think about it, you were so cool about everything. I’m blessed to learn the art of parenting from an exceptional one. (Thanks Dad too; you put the fear of God in us about academia & it worked.)

You don’t need a perfect family (who has one?) but a good one to stay afloat.

Just keep swimming.
