Ahh… Shanghai Dumpling is tried and true. This popular hole-in-the-wall spot is often busy & shouting helps get superior service.
Tonight’s takeout consists of spicy wontons with a delectable peanut sauce, spicy eggplant, green onion pancake (my fave), & dan dan noodles.
I heat up my own sweet soy milk to go with the green onion pancake so I can dip to my heart’s content. I sop up the rest of the spicy peanut sauce from the wontons with the dan dan noodles, which are already rich with their own beef & spicy sauce.
Heartburn city, here we come!
But I don’t mind. I enjoyed the ride.
