Guess what genius maneuver I figured out?
Feeding baby while feeding myself while finding a new dentist.
Yeah, I’m that good.
Boppy, the magical breastfeeding pillow helps to facilitate this.
While baby was perched on my lap, Boppy held him in hortizonal position as my left arm made sure he didn’t slip away.
With my right hand, I’m able to snack, type, dial, & other hand-required activities.
Utilize all the support you’ve got. I mean, prop baby up with pillows like the nurses taught you (at least that’s what they taught me.)
Your arms & back will kill. I use a small roll pillow in conjunction with Boppy & it’s nearly hands free feeding. I might be able to feed baby & drive too (don’t do this).
Get others to meet you where you are. I called to pay a hospital bill and asked for them to call me back when their computers were back up instead of me calling back later.
The representative said no, but it was worth a try. (She said they don’t have a pen or paper, & couldn’t possibly write down a phone number. Unreal.)
The completed task list while being a mom to a young kid looks a lot different than non-kid people’s lists.
I brushed my teeth. We bathed. Uh, that’s it.
It’s a big deal, man.
