The big deal

Fast Food Francais

Sausalito Wednesday. Found a little spot for a late brunch.

Fried oysters with teeny little pickles. All the food has fancy French names but I don’t remember any of it.

The oysters were fresh and delightly crispy. The tomato based sauce was light & mild. Perfection.

Deviled eggs for my handsome devils.

I wish there were more to them but they are simple little devils. I like my devils spicy if can.

Here’s the star of the show. Foie gras, with a citrus jam; their self-proclaimed PB & J, sans the nut butter.

The balsamic vinegarette was a touch too sweet with the already sweet jam. Nevertheless, the foie gras was a divine, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Now I want it on a burger. Again

We almost went with a duck confit sandwich but the French onion burger caught my eye. With onion rings and French onion soup in the burger, it was hard to say no.

My usual MR order was met with a little bit less pink of a grass fed organic beef patty than I like, but I was so hungry, I almost ate the baby.

Baby patiently sat in his car seat while food was devoured.

He looks like Professor X here.

I’m pretty sure I caught him smiling at himself in the car mirror. He’s like, “Hi stranger, you sit in a car seat too, ay?”

Another good meal in the books.
