Gratitude

Parental guidance

A sweet time to share with my parents & baby time. My mom’s visit to the farmer’s market amassed the most delicious strawberries, berries & kettle corn.

Kettle corn: sugar on carbs. Best combination ever.

Does this sound ordinary? It is not.

I have been wanting strawberries for quite some time now. Of course, without knowing, my mother would just have the largest, most spectacular strawberries I have ever tasted.

The blackberries & raspberries were divine. So fresh.

Baby had grandpa almost share a perfect strawberry. Baby was perplexed; what is this strange fruit?

My mother sent me on my way with some strawberries I ate in the car. It’s a small thing, those little berries, but it meant a lot to me. From this, I glean my own capacity for giving & sharing.

As a mother, my heart is bigger now. The newness of parenthood has stabilized & now I am prepared to keep growing & finding ways to help others, as my darling child continues to learn.

Thanks mom & dad for giving me this heart, this life. Thank you child for expanding it infinitely.
