The journey is everything

A blessed day in wine country. Baby’s first time in Napa. A brunch at The Pear with beautiful, charming ladies.

My croque madame on Model bakery bread was delicious.

My mom’s prime rib hash was truly a gem. Large chunks of meat with hearty veggies made for a filling breakfast.

Little sister’s chicken & waffle was tasty, with the skin removed & fried. Crisp & juicy.

The lovely Mrs. Cordero had an omelette that looked far healthier than our picks.

Sonoma sunrises all around, mimosas with a touch of cranberry.

Made most of us delightfully flush. My proposal to share the bananas foster waffle was well received.

Later after exhausting ourselves exploring Napa, we end up at the Oxbow Public Market where we discover the most divine duck.

Baby even had a roll, nearly to himself.

Exceptionally fresh. This is the food hall to beat.

Almost a taste of Three Twins ice cream but we discover “heartcrafted” pastries as treats instead.

An open faced cream puff: you’re fresh, light & have the perfect salt crystals to compliment the chocolate cream. Cheesecake bite not too remarkable. A tiny cream puff with carmelized drizzle was the perfect little bite.

A long day for us all. The best part was being with my darling baby & my beautiful family. How grand it is to get out of the city and eat your heart out with those you love.
