It’s official: baby is a genius. This morning baby expertly plucked (sorry for the gory details) my nursing pad out of uh, where it usually goes, mid-breakfast.
Baby is four months (twenty weeks, to be precise) & he can grasp. GASP!
Developmentally, babies garner this skill usually between nine to twelve months. Clearly, this is a gifted child.
Every parent probably thinks their child is a genius (rightfully so). But mine really is.
Seeing this small but significant action reaffirmed my decision to stay home. I would have missed this if I was at work. A caregiver may or may not have noticed this tiny but important achievement.
Sure my taxes are not yet finalized but mama’s gotta go out and buy some blocks for this bloke to play with.
I read something that said that parents should teach their children to appreciate the little things & of everyday life. The extraordinary takes care of itself. Turns out, in our world, the little things are extraordinary.
