Beaux mile

Big day today for Eggsy.

Bam! Babiators. Costs the same as my sunglasses. Sigh. Going to get the kid the wrap around the head thing so he doesn’t lose it. Winning!

Finally tried Dragon Beaux on Geary today. The offspring of Koi Palace didn’t disappoint.

Okra at dim sum?! What awesome planet do we live in? Lovin’ it. Gai lan only, no more.

DB has standard dim sum dishes like the sesame balls with red bean paste.

Honorable mentions for the duck crepes, spareribs, & XLB. The fried milk is a favorite & T28 is the only place in SF that has it. But now DB does & they have fried chestnut cake too. Exquisite.

Plates range from XS to Q with prices escalating. Q is for qrazy expensive! Actually it’s not so bad but I just wanted to do something with the Q.

It is certainly more than your run-of-the-mill dim sum spot but worth a try. I calculate that it is approximately double what you normally pay.

Luckily, it’s one dollar oyster night at 7 Mile!

This was a old go-to pre-baby but since it’s a gastropub, it’s not the most baby friendly place.

For Girls Food Club, it was a perfect place to get our oyster, sisig & nacho on.

Sizzling platter of sisig goodness. Anything with discernible chunks of fat is a good dish. Five stars. Also get crispy rice from the platter for those that like the crispy rice from claypots. My grandma would approve.

Platter of nachos. How could you go wrong? My only wish is for them to throw some adobo or sisig up in there.

After many platters of oysters, with lumpia & wings to pace ourselves, we were ready for this surprisingly decadent dessert.

A chocolate pyramid. Remind you, we are at a bar! Bravo 7 mile, bravo. Your cake pyramid base with chocolate mousse is simply lovely.

How fortunate to sit among friends old and new, celebrating tonight’s victory against the Grizzlies, & eating our hearts out. Go Dubs!

Still coming home is the best part.

Look at that drooly face. If I’m going to be away from this kid, it better be for some good eats. And good eats they were.
