Funny how when you have more time, you just fill it with stuff.
Yesterday we went to Moonstar buffet in DC & it was Senior Tuesday! I did not know this going in. It was quite sweet seeing all the Guang Guang & Po Pos getting their grub on.
I, unfortunately, had a bit of a sore stomach and my first few plates looked like this:
Sad, huh? Yeah, I was eating like a picky two year old. Their Malaysian pancake (upper left) was quite yummy, served warm & suited my then need for bland taste well.
I feel like Moonstar has really gone downhill since the last time I went. The one item that knocked it out of the park however, was the rice porridge.
A long line of seniors waited for this both for texture & flavor. Eggsy can’t quite have this yet since we’re still introducing single item solids to him.
Baby did get his first taste of sweet yams at the buffet. Served mashed, it was a bit too thick for him but he managed a few spoonfuls.
Today’s late lunch at Pluto’s featured their salad with medium rare steak.
Very likely my favorite salad in the city. Choose seven toppings & add a protein if you like.
Here’s Eggsy enjoying some focaccia bread which he promptly disposed of on the floor.
A special treat from HB tonight was a plate from the halal cart downtown.
That dill sauce is wicked good. Their meat is seasoned in the most excellent way. Just the right amount of spice.
Eggsy has been working on sitting up independently. Still using sir boppy as a crutch, I sandwich baby’s legs with boppy to hold him in place.
Kiddo ate half an avocado tonight! Beast mode. Guess he really is mine.
