Baby firsts

Waterbaby

After much anticipation, Eggsy makes his water debut!

A wonderful day at auntie Rhon Rhon & uncle Allen’s. Luckily, baby Z generously shared his crab floaty so Eggsy could get acclimated.

A beautiful sunny day in South San Francisco.

The night before we carboloaded on ramen & sushi. It was national sushi day after all.

Sawaii Ramen was packed as per usual. Crowded & noisy place=takeout for us.

Spicy tonkatsu ramen with extra spice on the side. Basically, red hot. Their agedashi tofu surprisingly delicious. Spicy wings, less impressive. Their rolls are no Yum Yum Fish, which has come to be our golden standard for takeout sushi.

Our pre-swim meal at Little Window was a bountiful feast.

Five Spice Chicken is for the soul. Why fish sauce, do we deserve to be loved by you? You make everything a dream.

The BBQ Pork vermicelli is my fave, non-pho dish. The pho ga is always a warm welcome to the oft deary SF day.

Post swim our bellies rumbled & we had a sweet stop at Eggettes in SSF. This is probably their better location. Eggettes here are definitely the best in the city. Milk tea & coffee drinks don’t disappoint.

My favorite snack spot. Rice rolls & fin soup (fake of course as shark is outlawed & for the breastfeeding mama, shark is a no-go). Crispy chicken not as good as the Quickly popcorn chicken but a good attempt at venturing in the world of fried meat. We applaud your audacity, Eggettes.

Later at home, after a TJ run, we have steamed clams & a perfectly medium rare steak. Our own surf & turf.

Meat melts like butter. What a fine day to eat, swim & eat.

Eggsy did surprisingly well in the water, lasting far longer than I anticipated. Not quite smiles right away, but he warmed up (& subsequently cooled down).

Blessed are we to see friends & family whilst enjoying some first playtime in the water.
