Noms

We love dads

Yesterday’s Father’s Day celebration was a day of eating & napping. The first round was at Shai Lai in the outer Richmond.

A hefty wait, to be expected on a Sunday for fathers. We were rewarded for our patience. The tiger prawns were delicious & a special treat from the usual fare. The shrimp balls with glutinous rice were also tasty.

After letting the new dad rest, we arrived very late to Uncle Allen & fam’s BBQ. So awesome to enjoy delicious short ribs, lemon chicken wings, baos, & more.

Post BBQ, we got TB, HB & Eggsy to try Prince Cooking for their sweets.

The mango sago was missing its pomelo counterpart. Huh.

This is my go-to. The mango sweet tofu with mochi & ice cream. I finally realized that the creaminess & unique sweetness was the coming together of cream & coconut. Don’t know why it took me so long to figure out…

TB’s ice cream pillows turned out to be a surprising delight. The toast is perfectly crispy & sweetened by what I suspect is condensed milk. I want this now.

After an eventful blowout diaper resulting in an emergency bath, we rewarded ourselves with linguine with pesto & clams.

I forget Americana is so good. Comes out piping out. Satisfied our pasta craving.

The veal shanks were our protein. Eggsy lovingly slept through the whole ordeal so we could chow down.

Not hard to get this guy into reading. He like pictures of keiki like him.

I realize staying at home is actually harder at times than working. I also realize that helping my son grow is aligned with my purpose to help others. The other now just happens to be really cute.
