Admittedly, I’ve been a bit bummed over missing our trip. Our family & friends are enjoying a reunion & a wedding this weekend.
Still, we’re having fun at home. On a lovely walk yesterday, Eggsy & I shared frozen yogurt. Well, I had the fro yo & he had a first few bites of strawberry.
Easy Breezy had mango lassi yogurt, which I swirled with the plain flavor to mellow out the sweetness.
My favorite peanut butter flavor! So delightfully creamy.
I also rediscovered Peasant Pies, a tiny eatery with handheld savory & sweet pies.
I was tempted by the special, a curried cauliflower but the zucchini & mushroom caught my eye because it has blue cheese.
A perfect little pie, fit for a snack. Love that they heat it up so it is a nice break from the bustling wind outside.
I’ve had these pies before & though was not impressed then, I am made more of a fan now.
I also made a grilled cheese with munster cheese at home. I used coconut oil. The hearty whole wheat bread held up well. Coconut oil is God’s gift to man. I love it & use it for everything.
This morning, in an extraordinary bout of ambition, I went for a run. For the typical active person, it’s no big deal. For me, it’s a big deal.
This was the first official attempt at exercise since baby arrived. Certainly I was panting & the latter half was really a search for snacks. But I got up at 6:45am & ran. I might even join a gym.
Little reminder to take a break when things get hairy. Or even when things are good. Take a break. Life isn’t so serious that we have to drudge on without caring for ourselves. Or perhaps it’s the opposite; it is so important that we must stop & laugh along the way. We’re not getting out alive anyways!
