Many celebrations of birthdays this month! Amazing Allen on the 10th, dear Calmsy on the 12th, & my pops on the 14th. August is a busy month. Happy birthday to Ricky & Ricky too!

Baby’s been keeping me busy in many ways. I’ve been challenged by my motherhood role. I thought I was getting sick (I was) & considered a late onset of PPD (unsure).

It has been a whirlwind of steak, cheesecake & baby growing fast.

National filet mignon day meant $1 filet mignon sandwiches at Morton’s. We beat the crowd & beat 14 sandwiches between two. We impressed ourselves.

Eggsy found himself as a pea in a pod. Big eyed and pea-sized.

Baby had his first pastrami sandwich at Little Luca after visiting the Burlingame music & arts festival.

We stumbled into Larkspur for a warm apricot &  fig salad. The recent hot heat had us all sweatin’.

The hot weather brought many bouts of sushi & also Italian. Little Henry’s, you do pasta right.

A visit to the zoo brought the gang abroad the Little Puffer! Baby seemed indifferent in his first train ride. I had a hoot, naturally.

So nice to have my brother back in town. We miss little sister so much. Eggsy loves to be with his Fufu.

I used to think with work, you always had to bring your A-game (true). With being a mom, this is even more true. I worried about being sick & being unable to care for the little one. Luckily, with lots of help from family & friends, this crazy ride is both fun & managable.

In the end, family & health are paramount. Having fun & laughing is important too!

Soon he’ll discover he’s a beautiful butterfly. Cheesy, I know.
