GrilladesĀ

A trip to the Bayhill Center to explore Cafe Grillades. With hopes of crepes, we signed our 2.5 party to the list. A little over an hour later, we were finally seated and eating.

My New York crepe with grilled steak, carmelized onions, portobello mushrooms, roma tomatoes was a good pick. The crepe made of unbleached flour was thicker than what restaurants usually serve. I liked it. Eggsy liked bites of my food too.

Before our food arrived, he entertained himself with multigrain Cheerios. Babies get away with a lot. He brought his own food to a restaurant! No one even looked twice. This silicone, bpa free mat was a worthy investment. It changes spoonfed meals into baby led weaning meals. Less parent’s hands involvement equal more food in grownup bellies!

HB had an omelette with spicy beef & lamb sausage. I liked it. HB’s been mad dieting so I guess his standards for a cheat meal are higher than mine. I suppose when you’re restricting calories, when you go greasy, you want top notch. I’m hardly a harsh critic so I enjoyed most things quite a bit!

I’m not sure I’d come back to this place because they have some obvious kinks to work out. Their service was mediocre and many people were complaining. I would like to try their sweet crepes, but on a leisurely day.

No need to give people a hard time when they are certainly trying. Isn’t that right, Eggsy? The monkey & his boy agree.

Special thanks to Cordy for our Hawaii board that makes us miss da aina! Many thanks to Marc for baby’s sweet shirt. It’s his favorite (to drool on)! Miss you friends in Hawaii.
