Baby firsts

Smity’s best

We’ve arrived to the land of flannel! We’re exploring the International district & beyond. Mostly we’re napping & eating.

The kid handled the flight like a champ. Didn’t cry once. Didn’t like to nurse during takeoff & landing so munched on cereal instead. (His ped recommended feeding to alleviate the change in air pressure.)

On our first night, we found night dim sum & had a huge dessert waffle!

Seattlians mean business around here! Blueberries look like boba.

We’ve made pancakes from scratch as Smity is an aspiring baker. Yum.

We were greeted with spinach muffins that we promptly gobbled up! Green is good.

The wee one visited his first glass blowing studio. I’m pretty sure it was too hot for his liking. Breakable items are intriguing though.

Seattle is for lovers & babies. Play structures for the babes. Eggsy rode down a “slide” for the first time on his own!

Takoyaki snackin’. As per usual, baby had the soft insides.  Last night we had VeggieGrill with quinoa, kale bowls. My Bombay bowl with curry, beans & nuts was filling & offered a balance to all the delicious but not so healthy snacks we’ve been enjoying.

Smity’s bowl with corn, avo & crispy tortilla strips was also tasty.  Tomato soup was good but I prefer a heavier cream base. I don’t know if they do cream here.

Ain’t no vacation unless grandma comes along to help with the baby! Thank goodness my mom rocks & so does my sister. It’s not the place you go after all; it’s the people that make a place. Still, we like it here.
