A lovely reunion with my dear Megsie! She is as stunning as ever.
Megsie introduced us to her bomb pho spot: Pho So 1. Far left sits Mr. Dahlia. He is beautiful too.
Naturally, I had the sampler platter. All delicious. One of the better meals I’ve had in Seattle yet.
When someone says this is their pho spot, that is a big deal. How perfect that in the same plaza, at HardWok Cafe, we found our tea & dessert.
Panna cotta for three to taste. Apricot topping. I like this place for: 1) their inventive name & 2) their expansive menu of sweet & savory offerings.
We also had their fried bread with condensed milk. Perfectly crisp. Their hot grass jelly soup was full of nuts, mini rice balls & taro. Very black & quite gooey. A good experience but probably not a re-order.
The “Charm” tea of mint & lavender was the perfect sleepytime tea. An elaborate tea setting for our nighttime excursion.
Since baby didn’t get a chance to meet his aunty Megsie yet, tonight we rendezvous with milk tea. (Well avo smoothie for me.)
At first baby was a bit stoic but quickly learned that aunt Megsie is super strong & could swing him to his giddy delight.
Life doesn’t get much better than being with wonderful aunties. Cheers to them!
