The wee ones dined at Nopalito for some bomb Mexican food. This family friendly establishment had delicious sangria & cheese quesadillas for the simple diner (i.e., 12 y/o & under).
The empanadas (above) were more like tacos with a crispy shell. Delicious, favorful & colorful.
Tamales were yummy though I think the questionable ones from someone’s car in the parking lot are equally delicious. We tried the soup with Nopalito’s own spices & tortilla chips on the side.
The chicken mole is the standout star that just looks like a black pool. It’s tender chicken with rich, slightly sweet but savory sauce makes it extremely addicting.
The quesadilla was also a fried tortilla instead of a soft one. They like things crispy around here.
Nothing like a cheesy meal for brunch with good friends. Our finale at Hometown Creamery was the perfect finisher.
My new favorite ice cream shop has all house made ice creams & cones. This autumn chai is dairy & sugar free with a coconut base & honey. Sorry, bi-rite, I’ve been cheating on you.
