Been busy eating the town & spending time with lovelies. Here is my research compilation of yum:
1. The Pork Shop (Haight)
Delicious old school diner. Food comes out quick & real good.
My breakfast of pancake, French toast, sausage, eggs & fresh fruit. So simple. Their French toast is like a dream. A little edible dream. Just light, fluffy & yummy. Sausage is rich, satisfying & feels like home.
Breakfast is sacred. This place gets it & respect that.
2. Boudin with the clan (Fisherman’s Wharf)
Honestly if you want Boudin, don’t come to the Wharf. It costs more, seems smaller & doesn’t taste as good.
What’s great about the Wharf location is that you can play tourist, watch sourdough get made & visit the museum. I had no idea that was there!
I went with my sibs which was a lot of fun. We enjoy the same lame jokes; it’s great.
3. Sutto Mare (North Beach)
I’ve eyed this place for a long time & last night we finally committed (they had space).
So worth it. The pesto pasta with clams is amazing.
Like really (expletive) good. God. Heaven on Earth.
Me & little sis share the two person crab cioppino.
This is also very good. Penne pasta up in there. We make sure the others help us out. A deep pot of fish stew. I’m still thinking about the pasta. Absolutely divine.
Me & lil sis both got tattoos yesterday so we are feeling especially awesome.
Baby’s got a new ride so he’s pretty happy too. Life is great. Plus, it’s almost Christmas. Yay!
