Eggsy rang in his first birthday with his family & friends in Pacifica in an outdoor BBQ.
We were worried about weather but it was beautiful and not too cold. I practiced my chalkboard art with signs for the little babe.
Amazingly, I didn’t eat much at the party. Baby did though. He was bundled up like a little bear.
It’s amazing how things come together when so many of your wonderful family & friends come together. We were missing some of baby’s favorite aunts & uncles but that is life. Our loved ones are sometimes far away but it helps us to appreciate them when we are together again.
So many people love & care for Eggsy. It’s really a shame that baby wasn’t into the smash cake. All the better since we didn’t have to do a costume change.
Smity thought it was funny to cake me. Hmph. Still finding blue frosting on my leather jacket. Poo.
Baby’s cake was “precut” & perfect. We’re so lucky to have pastry chef Zack on board. He is great!
Thanks to our many talented friends, we set up & cleaned up with ease. Thank goodness for all of them. Smity broke the piñata, I painted some kiddy faces & everyone seemed to like the Baby Einstein vibe.
