Feeling lovely this Sunday. Birds chirping outside & a snuggle bug on my arm.
Been focusing on all the wonderful people in my life.
A spontaneous dumpling stop with an old friend yields happy bellies. A King of Noodle visit leads us to our first time trying fresh noodles without meat.
Lots of tomato, mushrooms, & cucumber. Doesn’t feel like it’s missing a thing!
Our green onion pancake & chicken chivin’ dumplings are delicious too.
Baby eats lots of everything & approves of the dumplings. I usually do XLB too but with a non-beef eater at the table, we skip.
Here’s the cutie sharing our noodle date! Caro & I go back two decades. Quite a feat. In time, it’s clear who matters & who should be gently let go.
This is a big theme lately because I (sadly) have the trappings of poor boundaries. With effort, I’m trying to forge forward with grace, & honor those that I really love. If you’re reading this, you’re probably one of them (thanks).
Little wee one often has a look of concern. Don’t worry folks; he’s just hungry.
An upsetting disruption in the Force: Yum Yum Fish is no more. We try to substitute with Sawaii Ramen. The ramen is tight (extra spicy).
Baby & I shared cooked sushi. Real crab FTW.
Eggsy are like a champ. Killed everything (except the super spicy stuff). I am proud.
Yesterday was my nephew’s birthday party! It was a ball!
Kids’ birthday parties are actually disguises for loving parental productions. Lots of family & friends uniting for fun & celebrating the coming of age of a special kid. We love you, D!
Yesterday was also my Popo’s birthday. I miss her everyday. I dream of her often. I think I shed a tear while I slept, dreaming of her. She wouldn’t want us to be sad missing her; we honor her memory by living our lives with laughter & purpose. Pretty cool.
Life is a crazy ride. Better buckle up & dress like a Professor. Son’s shining bright! (There’s your pun for the day.) Hoping everyone’s Sunday is filled with brunch, magic & at least a tiny bit of rest.
