Having sweets help ease things. Mango pancake & coconut noodle with fruit. Asian desserts are the best. Light & refreshing bites.
Baby tried durian for the first time! He did not reject it. Two bites in, he’s a fan. Durian sweet coconut noodles.
A look of discernment for the unique taste. Now baby & I will have to fight for the smelly fruit!
Eggsy is continuing to grow at an alarming rate. He is becoming more independent too. This both worries me a bit & is exciting.
Puffy tacos from the Cadilliac Grill in SOMA with dear friends. An interesting take on the normally unpuffy tortilla. Delicious but I was rather fond of my chile relleno.
Can’t beat stuffed stuff. All gobbled up. What I really want is a big plate of nachos.
We’ve been busy upgrading all of baby’s gear. Apparently the seats we’ve been using are for infants & alas, at the one year mark, enters the convertible seat.
He also got a new stroller which feels redundant because he already has others lovingly gifted &/or saved from prior babies. To get more trunk space, we do opt for the middle ground between a bare bones umbrella stroller & the hulked out strollers we’ve been clunking around.
We celebrate with garlic & clams pizza from Village Pizzeria. This may be the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’m pretty sure I think that every time I eat good pizza. The pizza in Italy was pretty stellar too.
Tortellini & Alfredo for the baby (& us too). The floor ate quite a bit as well.
The choices floating around for me luckily are not irreversible. I’m going to go with my gut & stick it out with the kid (at least for now).
Five years from now, I won’t be regretting missing his milestone moments & catching all the flashes of smiles.
What is life but to swing away? Not that long ago he could barely sit up in the baby swing. Now he can’t get enough. We could learn a thing or two about being so simply overjoyed by a visit to the playground.
Hoping everyone makes time for play too. It’s almost Friday after all!
