Baby firsts

Let it snow

The holidays are over but we’ve just had our fill of the snow. Eggsy’s first trip to Lake Tahoe yielded a curious & happy baby.

We went with friends on a four day trip to the snow. Our cabin was warm & welcoming. We’re so very lucky to have baby-friendly friends who help keep an eye out!

A definite trip highlight were these delightfully delicious spring rolls in Sac. A different crunch with a fried finish. My only regret is (a) I didn’t get an order to go & (b) I didn’t make six of these rolls my entire meal.

Another edible trip highlight was Rhon Rhon’s bun rieu. This warmed us right up & was perfectly spiced! We’re the luckiest. I ate maybe 4-5 bowls of this total. (Very proud.)

Baby nonchalantly embraced his trip sledding experience. A first big ride down the hill & it was baby bunny slopes for him.

We bundled him best we could. First time ever we didn’t snowboard while in Tahoe. Though since coming home, there is a one year old snowboarder making waves (slopes?). Perhaps Eggsy could try boarding next time. Helmet for sure.

Baby was lucky enough to gather the collective winnings in Reno to acquire a very cool Stormtroopers backpack at Circus Circus. Apparently this sign points us to the right road.  Next time: bring a highchair. We didn’t need the hiking backpack & only used the stroller once.

Grateful for time with good friends, good food & an easygoing kid to explore the world with.
