Sam food

She’s back! Welcome home sister.

Let’s start backwards. Panna cotta with buckwheat crumble. We ended up at Cassava after exploring the Academy of Sciences.

The four course tasting menu was mouth watering in what may be one of my favorite places in the Richmond. I love brunch here & dinner is quite a treat.

The pork belly was so succulent. Eggsy loved it’s tenderness. The purple potato foam was a nice contrast to the other textures.
The salmon was similarly delicious with a crispy salmon skin.

I liked the carrot purée. Basically baby food. The kid liked the corn.

The most unimpressive part was the Asian pear & tomato salad. The sauce was good yeah but what else? I like big salads.

A lot going on, for all of us. Many good things, some things we’ll have to wait & see. What’s important is that we’re all as healthy as we can be. And we have our family. That’s what counts.

We’re overjoyed Smee has returned. She’s one of the good ones. Hoping for the best as she embarks on the next chapter of her life. All will be well, brave heart.

Let’s open ourselves to good. It’s here, even if we have to be patient sometimes. The hunt continues for good eats!
