Gratitude

15.2

This just in: baby is a hefty 15.2 pounds! This feels like a Christmas miracle, every little ounce gained.  Our little boy, thriving by breastmilk alone, is our miracle.  This morning, I eat a bagel in bed, with my child’s curious eyes watching the thing that goes crunch.  Today I am grateful for slow mornings, watching my child smile & giggle from a long night’s sleep. Night times are restless; impeding teeth frustrate him.  To…

French toast & pedis

That what every Saturday morning should be like. This is a special Saturday, spent with my little sister. Got the home breakfast special (thanks HB) before rushing out the door to enjoy the sun & get our feet did. To be my most authentic self, I always cared about the development of this. Now as a mother, I…

Simple breakfast

I wish I could go to brunch everyday. Okay, I only half wish that because then it won’t be as fun because it’s not special anymore. Baby is still sleeping so I can sneak into the kitchen & have a small something before he realizes it’s famine season again. My breakfast today doesn’t look like much because it isn’t. It’s white bread with cream cheese built into in with a slather of peanut butter on…
